Hytten ligger i området som kallas Fageråsen, 10 km från Trysil, på 850 möh. Stugan ligger i ena kanten av ett stugområde vilket gör att läget är relativt ogenerat. I stugan finns 8-9 bäddar fördelade på 2 sovrum med vardera 2 våningssängar varav den ena är bredare nertill, 110 cm. Två badrum varav det ena badrummet innehåller bubbelbad, dusch samt toa och det andra bastu, dusch, toa och tvättmaskin. Båda badrummen har golvvärme. Köket innehåller spis med 4 plattor och ugn, mikro, diskmaskin och kylskåp med separat frysavdelning med 2 korgar. Köket är välutrustat med all tänkbar köksutrustning. Allrummet innehåller köksbord, stor soffavdelning samt öppen spis, Kabel-tv, dvd och radio. I entrén finns golvvärme vilket gör att om angränsande dörrar stängs fungerar entrén som torkskåp. Uttag för motorvärmare finns. Bilväg ända fram till dörren. Runt 1½ sida på huset löper en överbyggd altan. Från huset har man en vacker utsikt över Trysilfjället.
Från stugan kan du vandra rakt ut på fjället och i och med att stugan ligger så pass högt befinner du dig redan från början vid trädgränsen. 1,5 km från hytten finns ett serviceområde med närköp öppet mellan 1/7-10/8 (ungefärliga tider) och tempererad simbassäng (utomhus). I Trysil som ligger ca 10 km från Fageråsen finns gott om affärer och här rinner också Trysilelva förbi där fiskemöjligheterna är goda liksom i fjällsjöar. 1,5 km from the house there are a little shop and heated outdoor swimming pool. 10 km away you find a small town called Trysil where you can find food store, restaurants, pubs, bank, post office, souvenir shops, tourist office and many other shops. Pass Trysil runs a river which gives you a lot of water-activities.
The distance to Oslo is 210 kilometres and is situated southwest of Trysil.
From the cottage you can walk right out on to the mountain and close to the cottage you can go swimming, go fishing, go riding, go canoeing, go rafting, go climbing and much more.
In Trysil you find the biggest ski area in the Nordic countries.
There is a prepared ski track only 50 meters from the cottage for cross country skiing. For downhill skiing you may glide down the Fageråsen Centre. If you choose to take the car to go there it’s 1,5 km away from the cottage. There are buses you can take back from the slopes stopping only 100 meters from the cottage. (No charge if you have a valid lift-card).
At the Fageråsen Centre there are shops, a restaurant, a pub, ski rental services etc.
